Hi, how strong are you?
Obviously it would be advisable to get yourself checked out by a doctor, but all discomfort I have ever had stretching with my knees was when they were not strong enough.
E.g. can you do 100 hindu squats easily enough?

Peoples Idea of normal vary's greatly. With that schedule you will probably be need to eat a lot. Also you may need more recovery time, try having two full days of rest - whether that is one on a weekend and droping a weight session in the week. Remember you do not grow in size or strenth while trai...

Speaking of instruments...
I play the guitar and I was wondering if the same type of workout principles could be applied to the technique for an instrument as with normal exercise, e.g. technical, speed, strenth, endurance etc. workouts as many of the top guitar players state they spend 10 hours per day practicing, although I...

Re: Splits w/i 2 mo? High kicks?
No splits. Furthermore, I don't see that much improvement with high kicks for maritial arts though I religously follow dynamic kicking to the front, side, back 12 reps each, sometimes twice a day. I'm wondering what the relationship is between static (splits practice), if any, and dynamic stretchin...

Getting a little confused guys...
I beleive Kurz said that you need 500 sit-ups per day for a full contact fighter, not to progress with back extensions. If anything doing 500 sit-ups would be potentially damaging to your back if your lower back strenth is not up to speed. I agree with wynnema on this one, get to around 100 in one g...

Hi, I think you got a little bit of a mixed message, the weight of 2/3 of the bodyweight and 1/3 for back extensions on the bench are required before you begin isometrics. You can of course reach a split via passive relaxed stretching without lifting any weight at all, but it will take some time and...
