Desty, I read your post again and only now I realise that you have had 5 years break. Exercises in my first post might be too much to start with. But nevertheless your goal should be the same: 1.build your anaerobic endurance. 2.Build endurance and functional strenght with bodyweight exercises. So y...

I suggest you to focus more on anaerobic endurance with your cardio. Exercises like sprints, hill sprints are great, tabatha,.... + you will burn more calories. Circuit trainings are cool too, my favorite: 10 pull ups, 10 dips, 20 push ups, 25 squats - try 10 sets under 20 minutes - that will give y...

Thanks for the tip. I have a goal to perform 1 armers but not at the moment. My current routine are weighted pullups with various grips (I like towel pullups the most). I use weight from 15-30 kg depends on a workout (strenght endurance or max.strenght). You say it is important to perform with speed...

Mmeloon you are absolutely right, I think I should have been more specific with my suggestion about squats. So Pliskin you must first fully recover, learn/check the proper technic for horse stance and then start with squats (only bodyweight at the beginning). p.s. : Pliskin I'm gonna send you (pm) m...

Hey Pliskin I'm glad to hear that. I was in the Pula this year - Kamenjak actually. My friend has a property on Kamenjak so I visit him at least once a year in the summertime. Good luck with the training. Hej Pliskin, da te još pozdravim u našem jeziku. Sretno sa treningom. Možda se sretnemo jednom ...

Hello. I suffered the same thing myself once. The only advice I can give you is back off from your strenght/stretching sessions until the pain is gone. If I were you I would also back off from the heavy bag for a week. Then gradually incorporate horse stance again. I would also incorporate squats (b...

Progress is faster if there's a constant change in holding time, leaverage, weight, angle,......... whatever. When body adapts to a certain "stress" progress stops. So it is necessary to "keep your body guessing what's next". But most important thing is to not overtrain or train to failure. Nothing ...

I would recommend to start with weights as soon as possible. I would drop jelly and ice cream from your shakes (ice cream is the worst thing you can have). You should eat only good food - a lot of it. Optimal caloric intake to support optimal growth for your bodyweight (125lbs) is 2600 kcal. This sh...

I don't understand your post. I took a year off because I wanted to experiment. About kicking that you mention - I've spend 3 years kicking the bag and sparring various people (from different MA background) and focusing on power - full contact (amateur competitors). I was beaten a few times and put ...
