Hello everyone, I am back. lol. I hope you all had a good Thanksgiving weekend. I have a question regarding doing a workout on aerobic endurance with maximum intensity. Now as I have already stated probably many times, I have diligently read Mr. Kurz's the Science of Sports Training book, all of Mr. Kurz's columns, newsletters, injury articles, etc. as well as having read other physical training books on personal training, strength and conditioning, in addition to already having read tons of online articles on anatomy/physiology, fitness, bodybuilding etc. However, what I don't seem to totally understand is is what exactly does one mean by aerobic endurance with maximum intensity? I mean, I have been reading some articles that say or imply that it would mean high-Intensity, continuous running at 80-90% of your maximum heart rate. First off, is this is true then why did Ozolin have on his guide for the succession of workouts in a microcycle: 4. Speed-endurance (anaerobic endurance) and 8. Aerobic endurance with maximum intensity? Also, according to my own knowledge or understanding of endurance training, wouldn't 80-90% of your maximum heart rate be the anaerobic or anaerobic-endurance zone? I am pretty much misconstrued once again. Any help in clarifying all this would be greatly appreciated.
