Dear Mr. Kurz,
since I am close to deadlifting twice my bodyweight I plan to buy Kettlebells.I want to use them for laying leg raises and adducter flies.
Which brand and what amount of weight would you recommend?
Lifting what percentage of bodyweight do you consider good in laying leg raises and adducter flies?
Thank you very much
Michael

Re: KETTLEBELLS
Begin with light ankle weights, say a 1 kg. Increase weights gradually and you will see what weight of kettlebells you need, if any. Your max training weights for lying leg raises and adductor flys depend on what you want to do with your legs (slide up from a split to standing?, pull down someone who grabbed your leg?, etc.), and on the length of your legs (longer leg = greater effort to lift a given weight).

Re: KETTLEBELLS
I have been using heavier ankle weights (2 x 5kg) on the adductor flies. I find an easy way to increase weight for the flies is to get a second pair of ankle weights and wrap them around your foot, so you have one on your ankle and one around your foot
