Hi Mr Kurz,
I first started using your book 23 years ago. I was competing at the time and stopped the program. About 2 years ago I bought the Stretching Scientific DVD and have been using it religously doing lots of Isometric stretching towards the side splits. I have been using the method with the straight legs as demonstrated on the Stretching Scientifically DVD. I am about 10 cm off the floor where I have been for about 4 months now.
I purchased Flexibility Express about 1 month ago and have been doing weighted deep 7 step squats, abductor flys and horse riding stance isometrics stretches 4 times a week. However, I have also been doing the straight legs isometrics stretches 2 night s a week after my martial arts workouts.
My abductors feel very strong but I am struggling to go all the way.
My dynamic flexibilty is sensational. I do these most days.
My questions is should I abandon the straights leg isometrics and just concentrate on the squats to splits program ?
Little bit confused

You can try it. Chronic fatigue lowers flexibility, so perhaps if you do less, you will improve.DaveMc wrote:

OK, so you think I am doing to much ?
I don't feel fatigued but I will cut it back a bit then and see how I go.
Over the last 2 years I have had periods where I wasn't doing as much as I am now.
I have been 15cm off a full side split for a long time now and am just really struggling to make further gains.
