Mr. Kurz,
I have one quick question so I will try to keep it brief. Is it beneficial to do relaxed stretches for the side and front split on non-lower body workout days or does what I have listed below seem sufficient to increase flexibility? Here is my current routine without going to much into details.
Monday : Lower body workout with isometric stretches and relaxed stretches (side and front split)
Tuesday : Upper body workout
Wed. : active rest day (usually a short run)
Thursday : Lower body workout with isometric stretches and relaxed stretches (side and front split)
Friday : Upper body workout
Saturday : endurance workout (long run) with relaxed stretches (side and front split)
Sunday : Rest
Thank you for your time and your great knowledge!

Re: Relaxed Stretching
Yes, it is, especially if you want to display your static passive flexibility without a warm-up. Otherwise what you do already may be enough to increase your flexibility--can't you see it yourself?

Re: Relaxed Stretching
Mr. Kurz, Thank you for taking the time to answer my question. I have been using your "Secrets of Stretching" DVD for 4 months now and have achieved great results. I am about 7 inches from achieving the side split and hope to achieve the full side split soon. Thanks again!
