crunches vs sit-ups

Post by johnbench110 »

Hello Mr. Kurz,

since sit-ups and deadlifts should not be done in the same workout I prefer to do crunches.
Now i am wondering how many crunches equal 500 sit-ups?
Could you please post a link to a safe and useful neck bridge routine for MA?

Thank you for your answer.

I don't know. I do sit-ups to get what sit-ups deliver and I do crunches to get what crunches deliver. You do enough of either when you get what you want--adequate abdomen bracing for back work, ability to take punches to the abs, and so on.

I have such routine recorded and I will post it some day. For now this should do:

Matt Furey doesn't say it on the above video, but in this back bridge you should feel very little stretch in your lower back, and little stress in the neck, even when putting your nose on the mat. Generally in the back bridge the most stretching should be felt in the thoracic spine.
