I saw a book the other day, by Christopher Delp on Muay Thai kickboxing. The book was nicely made, but what I thought was really good about it, is that it had common mistakes at the end of each chapter, and a plan for amateur fighting. The author refers to workouts as Speed, Power and Stamina, and lists them in order, as in the science of sports training, over a macrocycle. It's pretty rare that Martial Arts books list rational training, so i thought it was worth a mention.
