Meniscus injury

Post by CrazyBoy »

Ok! I know when this occur, an medical operation is needed immediatly. But, I have a question regarding not recovering, but fixing it. Could this kind of injury (or anyother knee injury) be fixed thorugh physical training? Let's say that an operation is out of the question, what would an athlete do in this case? Thanks in advance!

Meniscus injury

I had knee injuries and have torn menisci and this does not interfere with my training for flexibility or for anything else. I wrote about it in the last answer in my 10th column ( http://www.stretching.info/column.html ). And if you need more guidance in rehab, then study the 29th column.

Thanks alot mr Kurz. You didn't say if you had an operation or not. Anyways, that was what I wanted to hear. I asked this hoping to find a solution, other than operation, to this kind of injury. For example, bodyweight exercises could help deal with this problem?

Meniscus injury

No, I did not have operations on my knees. Sorry, I didn't make it more clear. But that's what I meant as I wrote in the 10th column: “My own knee menisci were severely damaged while skiing in my youth and up to now tests of meniscus injury indicate that they are still damaged.
