Does DOMS cause scarring in muscular and connective tissues?

Post by REG »

Hey, how's it goin'? I know that with any kind of injuries (whether it's macrotrauma, microtrauma, or musculotendinous trauma) that a scar form will form within an injured muscle and/or connective tissue during the healing process. However, I was wondering if DOMS (delay-onset muscle soreness) or chronic soreness also create scar formation within the given muscles and/or connective tissues that end up being sore and damaged. Any valid response would be greatly appreciated.
