Kurz Diet

Post by GNARL »

Mr. Kurz,
I've read all your articles on diet and nutrition and many other related texts. I was just wondering on what your actual usual diet is. Thank you!

Practically it is the Optimal Diet (by Dr. Jan Kwasniewski). See also two of my blog posts and my comments to the second post:

Thank you for the quick reply. I have read those articles and posts previously but it was good to review them. My main questions seems to be about the Optimal Diet. I do not have access to any books about it(yet), however as I search the website, http://homodiet.netfirms.com/, I have found a one week diet plan. I understand the diet seems to be based on a proper ratio of fats to proteins to carbohydrates. The one week plan hardly included any vegetables. In your post titled Carbohydrates and Athletes in the summer of 1995, you wrote that to perform at an athlete's best, he/she should eat meat, fish, eggs for protein, olive oil, nuts, and seeds for fats, and vegetables and low sugar fruits for carbs. This recommendation from your article seems to be very closely related to the Paleopathic Era Diet which you have cited before in writings. My knowledge of this diet shows me that it is the one most closely matched to what humans should eat. The optimal diet seems to contain hardly any fruit and vegetable except on occasional days and seems to have many grain based foods like breads that the paleopathic diet says are the cause of many diseases and ailments. I have seen many of your videos in which you exhibit powerful kicks, punches, assorted strength exercises, and some even in snow. Obviously you are in good health and eat sufficiently. Does your diet closely reflect the one week recommendation on the website or vary in any way? Thank your for your time.

Do you find any major difference between the Optimal Diet and the PaNu diet? Also, could you share a recipe? I'm culinarily challenged.

I doubt you will get a recommendation here for a diet pill of any kind. Healthy weight loss is achieved through proper nutrition. Check out the links presented earlier in this thread. In addition to the PaNu guy, I also follow http://wholehealthsource.blogspot.com/ and http://blog.nutritiondata.com/ndblog/ The former is more detailed and less consumer-oriented than the latter.
