(This is not properly a question about nutrition for sports; it is only about nutrition.)
I am used to eat one or two eggs a day and everyone say: "You are crazy! My doctor says not to eat more than two eggs a week!".
In addition I eat about 50 grams of butter every day and they say: "You are killing yourself! You can't eat so much fat!".
And whenever I eat red meat I hear something like: "Don't eat too much of it, it is dangerous!—doctors say to eat red meat at most once a week".
But, when people drink sweetened beverages or eat cakes or other (in my opinion) rubbish foods, almost nobody complains about it and almost nobody seems worried.
The question is: Why is there a so wide negative opinion on the above mentioned foods? Why do even doctors suggest to eat few of them? Am I really killing myself with my diet? Should I start eating like everyone suggest? (I feel better eating the way I do, than eating like almost everyone do.)

Research the following subjects:cao wrote:Why is there a so wide negative opinion on the above mentioned foods? Why do even doctors suggest to eat few of them?
-- Influence grain producers have on governments;
-- Profitability of treating chronic metabolic diseases;
-- Nature of stupidity (ponder the Groucho Marx's saying, “Who are you going to believe, me or your lying eyes?”.
To decide how to eat read about nutrition at http://www.stadion.com/nutrition-systems-for-athletes/cao wrote:Am I really killing myself with my diet? Should I start eating like everyone suggest? (I feel better eating the way I do, than eating like almost everyone do.)
Again, “Who are you going to believe, everyone or your lying eyes?”.
