Back extension on the bench

Post by nmbrc »

Hi,

I am reading the column on "http://www.stadion.com/column_stretch20.html" which discusses "Back extension on the bench".

Is the bench used for the "Back extension on the bench" same as a "GHR- Glute Ham Raise benche" sold in places like "http://www.flexcart.com/members/eliteft ... 1&pid=3243".

So basically what I am asking is that can I use the "GHR- Glute Ham Raise benche" to do the "Back extension on the bench" discussed in the column mentioned above.

I would really appreciate any help.

thanks

From the picture it looks like the dimensions wouldn't allow you enough range of motion to get your back into it. The upper body should be able to hang down 90 degrees perpendicular to your legs. If it can allow for that, then you should be able to use it for back extensions.

It looks like a terribly awkward 'bench' but yes you should be able to achieve a 90 downward & 180 parallel orientation of your trunk.
