Skiing machine good for martial artist's workout?

Post by jack1986 »

Hello All!

This is my first post here. I have purchased Mr. Kurz's "Stretching Scientifically" and two of his videos. All are fine products.

I am considering purchasing a cross country skiing trainer for home use to maintain aerobic conditioning. I remember Mr. Kurz cautioning that bicycling can shorten the (leg) muscles, and am wondering if the same, or other, caution(s) applies to skiing trainers?

Any related experiences/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Never used one myself.
Depending on the design/motion i can't see it being a problem.
The ones i've seen still have a ROM close to running. The difference being there is less impact with ski trainer.

Renovating my house. Would love to have something like this in a case on display. Collectors item and that is a sick price for that helmet.
