leg press as an acceptable alternative to squat?
Hi everyone, I may have missed this on the forums. Currently I have been trying to strengthen my legs for isometric stretching in order to do side and front and side spilts. As part of my workout, I have been doing squats(to point where my hips and knees at least parallel with the floor (I can go slightly lower than that) with a weight of 175 lbs. and I weigh 145 lbs.) for a few months but I have been wondering if leg presses are an acceptable substitute to squatting? I just feel safer doing them. If anyone could give me some feedback. Thanks.
