Came across this article and thought it was quite interesting. One less excuse for the lazy man to hide behind!

Too cold to exercise? Hardly!
Re: Too cold to exercise? Hardly!
Thanks for posting the article. Somewhere in there, it warns against overdressing. A few years ago, my wife and I were training for a half-marathon to occur in early spring. We were running in pretty cold temps--for a few days it was 15 F. I was using ordinary running tights for bottoms, and synthetic materials on top. I tried to dress relatively light to avoid overheating (you know, where you have to take off the sweatshirt and tie it around your waist because you're way too hot), but no matter how light I dressed, I either had to shed clothing or I wound up drenched at the end of the run. I then came across an add (I think it was in a womens magazine) for 100% wool performance wear. The plug was better temp. regulation than synthetics. I purchased a few items (tops), and was quite impressed. Since then, I've never felt overheated. In fact, I can substantially over-dress and still feel comfortable. I own products from three companies: ibex.com; icebreaker.com; and smartwool.com. If your tired over tying that fleece shirt around your waist, give wool a try.
