symmetric abs

Post by D'Almeida »

my abs are not symmetric and even though i've seen guys in magazines with the same "problem" (even Bruce Lee) i would like to know what is the reason of this and if there is any way to make them symmetric.

The "6 pack"(or 8 pack in some cases) isn't six(or eight) individual muscles.
Your rectus abdominis is one big muscle that is seperated down the centre by the linea alba and the tendinous inscriptions that run horizontally.
This is genetics that you can't change. If it was possible,i'm sure many pro bodybuilders with less than perfect abs would have changed theirs by now.

I can only speculate that the reason yours, and most other peoples abdominals(including my own) are "unbalanced" is because everyone has one side slightly different to the other.I assume the abs are no different.
