Suggestion for Kurz' Video and Book.

Post by Cyan »

Is there any chance that you would create a brand new version of the "Secrets of Stretching" DVD and a new, revised edition of "Stretching Scientifically" ? A lot of people, like myself, would be much more inclined to spend 60-70 dollars CAD if it was actually less than a decade old. I would definitely buy both if it was new and revised, since I myself train 4-6 days a week in XMA and Gymnastics... it would benefit me a good deal.

Can't speak for Mr.Kurz but i'd say if isn't broke,why fix it?

The information contained in those 2 works(the forth edition of Stretching Scientifically does contain editional information not found in the previous editions) still works now as it did when it was first wrote.

That's true, but I'm not a big fan of "old" things if yo uknow what I mean, only present. I'm not saying the video and book isn't effective.

As dragon said, there have been new editions over the years, the most recent being dated 2003. As far as books go, this is probably the latest you are gonna get!

As for the video...it was recently (one year ago was it?) put on DVD. Again - how recent do you want to get?

From my own point of view, effectiveness is the only thing that matters.Whether something's "ancient" or "modern" makes no difference when i'm writing out a program.

Or to use a quote from someone else,"Doesn't matter what colour the cat is as long as it catches mice".

Old things are very valuable and if Kurz' recommendations haven't changed then you wouldn't need new stuff necessarily...

Although type fonts and digital image resolution have improved so aesthetically speaking it could be worth it, for readability or whatever.

Plus people learn throughout life so benefitting from another decade of experience is good along with all the people he's networked with.
