Hoax Email Alert

Post by dragon »

Hi,
Got an online bill from "stadion" this morning for items i,ve ordered.I knew this must be a fake as i haven't ordered anything.
It contained an attatchment with a rather nasty virus.Just thought i'd warn others in case they get the same.

Virus

Post by Thomas Kurz »

I apologize for all troubles our list caused you. We did not send viruses ourselves. Our list that was left unprotected by an incompetent ISP manager. (How were we to know a man managing local ISP could be that negligent?) When either a virus broadcast hit it or a e-mail with virus from a subscriber with an infected computer, it went to all addresses. We took the list offline and moved it to the server it was on before October--safe but slow and cumbersome. Within a few days our list should be on a secure server managed by a dedicated list managing company.

Ok, something happened ...don't blame Mr Kurz for it...sometimes even reference checking gets with mistakes too...its better to give a trial chance to an employee
