Hello: Just wondering if there is any other information about your life---i.e. why you came to the States, why you chose to dedicate yourself to teaching, why you care so much about your readers, etc. Thank-you.

I chose to study teaching p.e. and sports because I knew some peak performers (not necessarily in competitive sports), had some peak performance experiences myself, and also was interested in the most effective ways of acquiring physical skills.

Why do I care about my readers? Russians say “profesionalnaya privichka” (professional habit). More on this concept is on the first page of the Summer 2001 issue of Stadion News ( http://www.stadion.com/freebies.html ).
Another reason: I know some of their “pain” and if I know where the solution to their problems is, I point to it.

The explanation why I came to United States is long and involves politics.

I know you are very busy but if you get a chance...no hurry, I was wondering if you study any type of martail art also.
If so, what type is it ?
I have you book and video and they are a wonderful aid. I study TKD.

Yes, Judo wrestling. My practice involves also techniques of other kinds of wrestling such as Sambo, Shuai-chiao, and Sumo. See also http://www.stadion.com/author_kurz.html

Hello Cindy,

It's “Madrej glowie dosc dwie slowie.”

Literal translation: “[For] a wise head a couple of words suffices.”

Meaning similar to the English “Word to the wise.”
