What's with the picture on every page of the site? Why in (fill in the blank)'s name would there be a picture of a woman in an outfit that is particularly unsuited to any kind of non-intimate physical activity as an advertisement for a site that is teaching rational physical training?
I think I know the answer but I'm hoping it isn't true.
You say that your techniques are appropriate for men and women but I'm here to tell you that there is no way of doing anything more than carefully, mincingly walking from here to the closet to find more clothes in that get-up.
Please show a little more respect. Thank you.
What's with the picture?
You'll be relieved to know that the latest edition of Stretching Scientifically has a new picture on the cover. Mr. Kurz poses with a baby instead of babe. So you can now purchase the book and learn how to stretch without having your delicate sensibilities offended. Hopefully this information will let you sleep more peacefully at night.

Lol!!
I think using a model was intended to:
a/Grab peoples attention (which it has) &
b/To illustrate the effectiveness of the Kurz method.
I think a female model was used as a male model would probably be too heavy (correct me if i'm wrong Mr Kurz!).

If you always done what you always did, you will always get what you always got.

As I suspected.... Are there still men out there who need this kind of come on???
Just got the book. It's still on the back cover.
Mark - you are also just as I suspected. As one of the few women who come to this site (or as it seems) it's not my "delicate sensibilities" - I usually just laugh this stuff off. This one, actually, is particularly laughable. just plain stupid for someone to try to advertise to athletes of any sex with such an image. Men are the ones who should really be offended. But so few are. This kind of stuff just doesn't fly in the real world much anymore. It degrades the author by his choice.

Newbie, my apologies. I don't have the latest version so I didn't know the old picture was still on the back. I would encourage you spend more time concentrating on what is between the covers than what is on the cover.newbie wrote:As I suspected.... I'm not sure what you mean by your comment that I am just as you expected. However, I draw your attention to two things:
1) I have volunteered quite a bit of my time and effort to this forum, as evidenced by the fact that I am among the top three posters here (in terms of number of posts). I request that you give that consideration when forming an opinion about me.
2) If you are interested in my thoughts of women in sports and sexploitation, I invite you to read this short article I wrote back in the mid 1990s (probably long before you had internet access). You may find that I am not "just what you expected".

Newbie....get a life the picture is by no means sexist. I for one didnt look at the model and say Wow i better buy this cause look at the girl!!!! Truthfully I though Wow he supporting himself and another person!!!! I look at Kutz and he is wearing as little as she is for crying out loud. Why didnt you complain about him and say he need to cover up with sweats. I think your being disruptive for no reason.
