dvd hidden shipping cost.

i just got my dvd through.
i paid $58 USD ( 30.78) GBP
which i thought was a little pricey but ok as i understand it is a
specialist product.
but then when it gets here i have to pay a further $15 (£7.80) import tax!
so for a DVD i have to pay $73!! (£38.58) seems a little harsh to me
