I'm using proper technique for the side leg lifts and splits by tilting my pelvis correctly, but I'm still getting pain in my hip area. I don't know if it's my hip flexors or joints or what it is. I've actually seen a few sports physios for other problems and brought up this subject, but they don't seem to have any knowledge about the splits, martial arts, or even dynamic stretching in general.
I'm 22 years old and I was able to stretch without pain about 5 months ago, but I took time off due to work, school, and other family issues. Could it be that it's been such a long time and that the pain will ago away after a few weeks of stretching?
